Player Actions in Blackjack Online

When playing Blackjack online, players usually have four different actions that they can take with their cards after the first deal. Players decide what to do with their two cards in order to bring them to a total closer to 21 than the dealer’s total.

When players reach this point in Blackjack online gaming, their next decision can make or break their game. At this critical point in an online Blackjack game, it’s up to each player to make the best choice for their hand based both on what they’re holding and what the dealer’s up card is.

Players can choose to simply Stand on their cards, leaving them as they are without adding to the total. When playing Blackjack online, players should Stand if they’re holding a hand total between 17 and 20.

Players can choose to increase their hand amount when they play Blackjack by accepting a Hit from the dealer. A Hit means that the player receives one additional card. Players must consider the potential impact of a high-value card on their hand total – players who bust over the 21 limit automatically lose the game.

Another option is to Double Down. This action requires a player to double his bet, receive one Hit, and then Stand for the remainder of the game. In Blackjack online, this option is risky as players can never predict what their Hit card will be.

Players with a pair may Split them into two separate hands and therefore two separate bets.
